With bulletproof reviews on various social networking sites, hotel staff knew they were delivering an exceptional guest experience. However, their online identity wasn’t keeping up. The existing site was not only visually impaired, but structurally broken. Key sales tools were hidden or altogether omitted. Site architecture was illogical. The exceptional physical experience Hotel 1000 is known for was nowhere to be found in its digital embodiment.
Paramount was the need to successfully communicate the real world experience found at the hotel, online. No easy task when you’re dealing with something intangible like personalized service. We accomplished this with a combination of measured visual design, photography and custom video.
The video presents a ‘day in the life’ scenario that tracks two guests through various experiences at the hotel. A neighborhood activities map was developed to help guests familiarize themselves with attractions throughout the city and photo based navigation was employed for guestroom, meeting room and wedding venues to assist users in finding available spaces, quickly.
We also developed an online store where unique Hotel 1000 products and services are available for purchase 24 hours a day. It’s important that any ecommerce solution respect user solicitude in this context – that’s why it was critical for the browsing experience between the store and website to be seamless from a design and UX standpoint.
