A Tradition of Hospitality
For over 50 years Topnotch Resort has attracted outdoor enthusiasts, families and athletes throughout the eastern U.S and Canada. Due of its rich history in the region, families and couples from Vermont and nearby, Maine, New Hampshire, and New York, have made a tradition of visiting Topnotch Resort.
With an array of indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a tennis center, pro shop, on-site coaching staff, indoor and outdoor pools, miles of hiking and equestrian trails, luxurious spa facilities and alpine skiing within spitting distance – it’s no wonder Topnotch has enjoyed such lasting appeal. If staying indoors is your thing, you can always lounge around in the hotel’s signature bathrobe and enjoy the personalized hospitality, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor pool, restaurant, bar, and spa.
The Challenge

The hotel had recently undergone significant renovations, and the need for a new digital solution became apparent. They did a brilliant job of preserving the rich architectural heritage of the hotel’s past by adding new facilities that blended nicely with the existing property. A common problem we face for our clients, the digital experience did not keep pace.
Topnotch needed to appeal to a wide spectrum of guest types that varied according to the season, so the website and content strategy needed to accommodate seasonal changes. On the back end, the website needed to connect with Synexis’ proprietary CRM, so our role was to take the lead on design, interaction, and art direction.
The Result
We knew there was a compelling story to tell, and following our discovery, we pitched a video to be the platform to communicate the story of Topnotch Resort and Spa. We brought in our talented video production and photography partner, Brudder, to shoot and direct the video. Their team of photographers also created a portfolio of images to be used on the website, in conjunction with the video. This allowed us to create a seamless experience between the video and website, and maintain brand integrity. We also utilized select b-roll footage to add some punch throughout the site, along with various small enhancements to add tactility.
