Classic South Beach with a Contemporary Flavour
The Winter Haven Hotel is an oceanfront, boutique hotel on Ocean Drive alongside the world famous Miami Beach. It’s a simple but sophisticated Art Deco hotel designed by acclaimed architect Albert Anis, and much of its storied architectural and interior features have been preserved in fine form.
The Challenge
While ownership and management meticulously preserved the architectural integrity of the physical property and the hotel’s boutique experience, its digital counterpart failed to keep pace. As a result, the website no longer provided an experience that was commensurate with the hotel.
The Result
We applied our philosophy of “less is more” and relied on visual assets to communicate the beachfront, boutique experience of the hotel. By keeping the visual noise to a minimum, we were able to maintain focus on key elements and create a design with a vintage look and feel that conveyed the simplicity and uniqueness of the hotel while putting the architecture and location front and center.
